Consultation to fund new ADHD medicine - have your say

 NEWS

As part of the mahi (work) to help manage ADHD medicine supply issues Pharmac is now consulting on a proposal to fund a new methylphenidate product.

This is aimed at addressing the medication shortages and preparing for the upcoming prescriber changes in February 2026.

ADHD New Zealand welcomes this proposal and encourages the ADHD community to submit and have their say.

While medication is just one way for people to manage ADHD and should be used along with other supports, we believe this proposal could make a real difference for those impacted by the shortages.
