There are ADHD meetup groups in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. However, ADHD does not target specific locations so we're looking for people in other regions to help those living with ADHD on their journey.
These meetups may engage specifically with those who:
- are adults living with ADHD (either suspect they have it or have been diagnosed with it)
- parents of children with ADHD
- supporting whanau and others, or
- are in the education sector.
We believe the most benefit can be derived through meeting others who share their experiences to learn, support and socialise in a friendly environment. This enables everyone to leverage our relationships and collective wisdom for the growth of each attendee.
What you'll get:
- training, and
- on-going support.
By helping us with:
- organising regular (once every 4 or so weeks) meetups at an accessible location
- connecting with interested attendees, and
- providing regular feedback and updates to ADHD NZ.
In each meetup, you'll
- deliver relevant information on many ADHD-related topics
- offer the opportunity to discuss challenges, and share information and experiences, and
- ensure attendees can socialise and get to know each other in a welcoming and friendly environment, with people who 'get it'.
You may already know someone who is living with ADHD. We're also looking for people who are:
- empathetic
- friendly
- understanding, and
- have a genuine desire to help.
If you're interested we'd love to hear from you!!!
