Our Lived Experience Advisory Panel (LEAP) was formed in 2024 to place community voices at the heart of our decision-making. Through regular consultation, this core group helps us navigate the evolving landscape of ADHD, identifying new opportunities to support and empower our community.
Our aim
The aim of this panel is to help us:
- shape our advocacy around key issues
- develop new services where there is a gap, or improve what we already offer, and
- improve our information sharing and communications.
Our panellists
Following a highly competitive selection process with an exceptional standard of applications, we appointed six individuals who bring a wealth of lived experience, either as people with ADHD or close whānau. We are incredibly grateful for their ongoing mahi and the unique insights they contribute to our community. To ensure the panel truly reflects the diversity of the ADHD community, our members represent a broad range of perspectives, including parents, youth, adults, those diagnosed later in life, the rainbow community, and other minority groups.Through regular collaboration and consultation, these members help ensure our services remain authentic and inclusive.
