Tertiary learners with adhd
participating in our focus group

Thanks so much for your interest and support.

Next steps

We'll email you to confirm the date/time, that's preferred by the majority, as soon as we can.

This email will include an online link to our meeting.

Introduction

The information that you share with us will help us to develop some learning modules for educators at tertiary institutions.

Our goal is to help them understand what ADHD is and provide strategies, tips and tools to optimise the achievement of learners with ADHD.

To help us understand the challenges you have and what support you'd ideally have, please have a think about, and come prepared to share:
  • your current situation (and key challenges) at your tertiary institute
  • various strategies, support mechanisms, tools and tips that you use to manage your challenges, and
  • what your ideal situation would be.

Who will be there?

There are likely to be two people from the team at ADHD NZ:
  • one will be the facilitator/moderator who will be asking questions to ensure we cover the important topics, and
  • the other will be taking notes.

* We may also record the audio of this session so that we don’t miss anything important and so that we can go back and revisit the information if we need to.

Housekeeping

As far as the focus groups are concerned, there are a few “ground rules”:
  • please respect each other’s opinions. There’s no right or wrong answer to the questions we will ask. We want to hear what each of you think and it’s okay to have different opinions
  • we’d like to hear everyone speak so we might ask people who have not spoken up to comment, and
  • we might move you along in conversation. Since we have limited time, we’ll ask that questions or comments off the topic be answered after the focus group session.
