In this vulnerable and insightful talk, Jenny Turner, founder of Human Fabric, reflects on her personal journey of navigating ADHD through different stages of her career. Diagnosed in her 40's, Jenny shares, with the benefit of hindsight, what she has learned about how workplace environments, roles, parenting, and other factors have shaped her experience of ADHD - from moments of deep struggle to achieving overall career success and senior leadership roles.
Drawing from her lived experience, professional expertise, and ADHD coaching practice, Jenny will provide practical recommendations for those looking to better understand the confusing experience of a late diagnosis of ADHD. Using a clear and actionable framework, she'll explore how ADHD adults can learn to better work with their brain wiring, embracing their strengths, and build the enviornment that they need to thrive in their careers and life.

Jenny is the founder of Human Fabric, a consultancy dedicated to empowering neurodivergent individuals to thrive in their careers and supporting organisations to harness their unique talents. With over 20 years of leadership experience in professional services, an MBA from The University of Auckland, and the Gold Mind ADHD coaching accreditation in progress, Jenny brings a unique combination of business expertise, practical strategies, and personal insight.
Diagnosed with ADHD mid-career, Jenny understand the challenges and opportunities that come with thinking differently. Also a parent to two ADHD boys, her journey of self-discovery inspired her to help other unlock their potential and navigate the complexities of neurodivergence in the workplace. After extensive research into ADHD, neurodiversity, and neuroinclusive workplaces, Jenny now combines the latest knowledge with her expertise in modern adult learning, professional experience, personal insights, and ICF coaching techniques, to offer engaging courses and coaching for adults with ADHD. Jenny is passionate about equipping people with the knowledge, strategies, and perspectives to harness their strengths, overcome challenges, and work with their brain, not against it - providing the holistic support that she felt was missing in NZ.
