Our vision

To advance those in the ADHD community by providing practical information, tips and support.

Who are we?

Formed in 1977, ADHD NZ is a national, community based, non-profit organisation, committed to supporting those living with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Our board provides governance around the support and information ADHD NZ provides. Board members include:

  • Darrin Bull (President)
  • David Mairs (CFO)
  • John Miller (Secretary)
  • Brett Harrington
  • Leeanna Kohn-Hardy
  • Heidi Nilsson
  • Michael Schneider
  • Chris Thomas, and
  • Dr. Sarah Watson.

We are not government  funded and rely on contestable grants, sponsorship and membership fees to deliver our services.

How can we help?

Our Services include information and referrals, a library of books and DVDs, newsletters, helpline counselling, speakers and some local support groups (including an adult support group meeting monthly).

A FREE membership inquiry pack can be sent anywhere in NZ, and for NZD30/year you can become a member of ADHD NZ. This gives you an extensive resource pack so contact us now for more information.
